XML, or Extensible Mark-up Language, is a set of rules to construct, collect, and pass information. XML is readable by both human and machines.

Files containing transaction data for clearing might use XML. The markup language also supports EMV (chip) data.

Difference Between XML & HTML

XML was created to transfer and stock data. HTML was designed to show data. Unlike HTML, XML tags are not predetermined. This allows users to assign their own tags and document formats.
