Wordline launches YUMI

Worldline introduced its latest payment device, YUMI. The omnichannel terminal is designed to brings physical and online commerce together. Furthermore, it can be customised to fit a retailer’s brand.

YUMI can rotate 360° to always faces customers, providing an intuitive omnichannel point of interaction. It uses Android operating system and supports apps, allowing retailers to further streamline the customer experience.

With its sleek, modern design, YUMI will take the merchant and consumer experience to a whole new level” said Vincent Roland, Managing Director of Worldline’s Merchant Services, as reported in Worldline’s press release.

Worldline’s latest payment innovation meets the latest hardware and software security requirements. YUMI is PCI PTS 5.x certified and complies with SRED and Open Protocol modules. A set of smart features enables the device to support service to visually impaired customers, including alternative solutions for PIN entry.

The device can be integrated into local POS systems or used as a standalone terminal. It is available either as a countertop or as a portable terminal, with a range of communications options. YUMI will be available as of late summer 2019.
