Established in 2001 in Aalborg, Denmark, ePay is now one of the leading Nordic payment service providers.
Merchants choosing ePay as their payment gateway will also need to choose a payment module. ePay processes payments made with local, such as Dankort, and international (e.g. Visa, MasterCard or American Express) debit or credit cards, e-wallet giant Paypal. The group also accepts payment by invoice (from Klarna, SveaWebPay and ViaBill) and bank transfers, notably through iDEAL or Swedbank.
Merchants have the choice between three packages. The light, pro and business packages come with services varying slightly to match the needs of businesses. Additionally, ePay offers customized solutions. Merchants will need to pay a Setup fee and a monthly subscription. ePay offers many additional options, such as Fraud Fighter and payment request, imply a fee per transaction. Merchants can also request to access ePay from several domains, for an extra monthly fee.
ePay works with many open-source shop systems, such as Magento, PrestaShop, osCommerce, WordPress, Joomla!, Shopify or WooCommerce. Additionally, ePay can be integrated in the merchant’s website without the use of a payment module.
ePay offers a variety of additional features and services. Merchants can choose to connect their online shop to multiple acquirers to optimize performance and save money. Recurring payments, e.g. for memberships or subscriptions, can be programmed with ePay.
Fraud Fighter is ePay’s security product. Merchants can choose to set a higher secure payment verification for individual countries/regions. Address verification service (AVS), blacklisting, IP address blocking, country or regional blocking help minimize fraud. Email or SMS alerts can be set for signal questionable transactions. ePay payment system can be accessed from several domains.

ePay web service (API) is a practical tool to process payments. Orders and payments can be managed from a single platform. Development kits for iOS and Android are made available, making it easy to integrate ePay into an app.
